Use this checklist if you are administering Communication Manager for a Kafka integration.

Add a CTI Link

Configure a list of nodes.

See Administering Avaya Aura® Communication Manager.

Assign the list of nodes to a station using a Class of Restriction (COR).

See Administering Avaya Aura® Communication Manager.

Configure Call Management System (CMS) for Kafka integration.

  • Add a new processor channel with application type as mis-clus.

  • Set the CMS application release to R.21+.

  • Obtain the CMS hostname and Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) number.

  • Set the IP address for CMS to a dummy value. The node name should match the CMS hostname.

Ensure you have a security certificate for Kafka. There must be a certificate in the trust store for Kafka.
