Last Updated : Jun 10, 2026 |

There are several prerequisites for configuring Avaya Aura® Web Gateway network settings. These prerequisites are not required if you only need to update the DNS or NTP server IP addresses.

  • If you plan to change the IP address or FQDN of an Avaya Aura® Web Gateway node, add a new element for this node on System Manager on the Services > Inventory > Manage Elements page.

  • If you plan to change IP addresses or FQDNs of Avaya Aura® Web Gateway nodes and you do not use DNS servers in your deployment, add host names of all Avaya Aura® Web Gateway nodes to the /etc/hosts/ file on System Manager.

  • If you plan to change IP addresses or FQDNs of Avaya Aura® Web Gateway nodes and you use third-party CA identity certificates, obtain new certificates with appropriate FQDNs from your CA.

  • If you plan to change the IP address of an Avaya Aura® Web Gateway node, ensure that the new IP addresses are available in the appropriate subnet.

  • If you plan to change the IP address of an Avaya Aura® Web Gateway node, ensure that the network adapter or virtual switch of the Avaya Aura® Web Gateway virtual machine is configured with the appropriate subnet for this IP address.
