Prerequisites for configuring Avaya Cloud Calling on Avaya Aura Web Gateway

Last Updated : Jun 10, 2026 |

Before configuring Avaya Spaces Calling integration settings on Avaya Aura® Web Gateway, ensure that the following requirements are met in your deployment:

Avaya Aura® prerequisites

Along with Avaya Aura® Web Gateway, you must install and configure the following servers:

  • Avaya Aura® System Manager 8.x

  • Avaya Aura® Session Manager 8.x

  • Avaya Aura® Communication Manager 8.x

  • Avaya Aura® Device Services 8.x

  • LDAP directory source, such as Active Directory.

MDA and SIP entity link configuration:

  • On System Manager, increase the currently configured Multi-Device Access (MDA) limit by 1. This is required to prevent the forced logout of Avaya Aura® Web Gateway.

For example, if the MDA limit is currently set to 5, increase it to 6.

To configure the MDA limit, see information about the Multi Device Access feature in Administering Avaya Aura® System Manager.

  • Create trusted SIP entity links from each Avaya Aura® Web Gateway node to each Session Manager in your deployment.

For more information, see Configuring SIP Trunks for the Avaya Aura® Web Gateway on System Manager in Deploying the Avaya Aura® Web Gateway.

Avaya Spaces prerequisites:

  • Configure a company and a domain.

  • Purchase Avaya Spaces Business or Power licenses and assign them to users Avaya Spaces that require Avaya Cloud Calling.

  • Optionally, synchronize work and mobile phone numbers configured in your enterprise LDAP directories and in Avaya Spaces. You can use the following options:

    • Synchronize user data between Avaya Aura® Device Services and Avaya Spaces. For information about user data and phone number synchronization, see Chapter Avaya Spaces integration and the procedures Configuring data synchronization between Avaya Aura® Device Services and Avaya Spaces and Configuring phone number synchronization in Administering Avaya Aura® Device Services.

    • Import phone numbers of enterprise users to Avaya Spaces using .csv files.

    Note:

Avaya Spaces users can manually add work and mobile phone numbers to their accounts if the phone number synchronization is not enabled on Avaya Aura® Device Services.

Enterprise firewall prerequisites:

Add the following IPv4 Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) blocks to the enterprise firewall rules of your Avaya Aura® deployment:

  • 155.184.0.0/20

  • 155.184.16.0/22

These rules are required for the SRTP and UDP traffic from your enterprise network to the Avaya Cloud MPaaS server.

The destination ports for Avaya Cloud MPaaS are UPD ports 3000 to 4999 inclusively.
