Re-establishing the connection to Gateway Connection Manager manually

Last Updated : Jun 10, 2026 |

About this task

Avaya Aura® Web Gateway must be connected to Gateway Connection Manager to enable users to perform calls between Avaya Spaces and Avaya Aura®. If the connection fails, Avaya Spaces Calling Gateway automatically tries to restore the connection. You can also try to repair the connection manually from the Avaya Aura® Web Gateway web administration portal.

Note:

The repair process might cause service disruption. Therefore, you must only run the repair if there is a problem with the connection.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Spaces Configuration > Spaces Calling.
  2. In the Connection status table, click Repair connection for each Avaya Aura® Web Gateway node whose connection status is Not Connected.

You cannot repair the connection for a node whose status is Unknown or Node is inactive.

  3. In the confirmation window, click Proceed.

If the repair process completed successfully, Avaya Aura® Web Gateway informs you that the connection is re-established.

  4. Optional If Avaya Aura® Web Gateway informs you that the connection cannot be repaired, do the following:
    1. Ensure that the Avaya Spaces Calling Gateway is properly configured on Avaya Aura® Web Gateway and Avaya Spaces.
    2. If the problem persists, contact Avaya support.
