Resetting a user's password, PIN, or security question

About this task

Reset the user's password, PIN, or security question. Passwords are used to access Avaya Cloud Office™ accounts, PIN codes are for voicemail messages and deskphones, and security questions are used for recovering lost passwords or PINs.

Procedure

  1. From the Admin Portal homepage, navigate to Users > User List > Users with Extensions.
  2. Click the user.
  3. Click User Details > Security.
  4. Under Password and PIN, click Change.
  5. In the Current Admin Password field, enter your account password and click Next.
  6. On the Password tab, in the New Password and Reenter New Password fields, enter the new password.
  7. On the PIN tab, in the New PIN and Reenter New PIN fields, enter the new PIN.
  8. On the Security Question tab, select a question in the Security Question field and enter the answer in the Answer field.
  9. Click Save.
