Assigning a phone number from the inventory

About this task

Assign a reserved phone number in your inventory to an extension. You can also assign a phone number to the Auto-Receptionist or set a phone number as a dial-in number for Avaya Cloud Office Video & Audio Conferencing meetings.

Important:

Additional charges apply if there is no available license in your company account.

Procedure

  1. From the main page, navigate to Phone System > Phone Numbers > Number Inventory.
  2. Next to the phone number, click the More icon.
  3. Click Assign to.

    Avaya Cloud Office Service Web displays the Assign Number window.

  4. Select one of the following:
    • Auto-Receptionist

    • Avaya Cloud Office Video & Audio Conferencing

    • Extension

    If you select Extension, you must also select the extension to assign.

  5. Select a cost center if applicable.
  6. Click Assign.
