Configuring network settings using the cliChangeNet.sh script

About this task

Use this procedure to configure network settings of an Avaya Aura® Device Services node.

This procedure applies to OVA-based and software-only deployment types.

Important:
  • You cannot use the cliChangeNet.sh script in AWS OVA-based deployments.

  • Avaya Aura® Device Services is unavailable when applying new network settings.

In a cluster deployment, perform this procedure on each cluster node starting from the seed node.

Before you begin

Review and complete prerequisites listed in Prerequisites for configuring Avaya Aura Device Services network settings.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Avaya Aura® Device Services CLI as an administrator.
  2. Run the following command to navigate to the script location:
    cdto misc
  3. Run the following command:
    sudo ./cliChangeNet.sh
  4. Configure network settings as appropriate:
    • To change the existing value, enter a new value and press Enter.

    • To keep the existing value, do not enter anything and press Enter.

  5. When prompted to apply the changes, do one of the following:
    • To confirm the changes, enter Y.

    • To discard any changes you made in the network configuration, enter N.

  6. After the configuration process is complete, run the following command to restart Avaya Aura® Device Services:
    svc aads restart
  7. In a cluster deployment, repeat the previous steps on all remaining nodes.
