Configuring phone number synchronization

About this task

For enterprise users registered on Avaya Spaces, you can synchronize mobile and work phone numbers between Avaya Spaces and LDAP databases. When synchronization is enabled for a certain phone number type, Avaya Aura® Device Services exports appropriate phone numbers from LDAP to Avaya Spaces. As a result, Avaya Spaces user profiles contain both phone numbers configured on Avaya Spaces and phone numbers imported from LDAP.

Before you begin

Enable integration with Avaya Spaces.

Procedure

  1. On the Avaya Aura® Device Services web administration portal, navigate to Spaces > Configuration.
  2. In the LDAP Phone Number Sync section, select one of the following:
    • All (Work and Mobile): To add both work and mobile phone numbers from LDAP to Avaya Spaces.

    • Work: To add to Avaya Spaces work phone numbers from LDAP. Mobile phone numbers imported from LDAP will be removed from Avaya Spaces.

    • Mobile: To add mobile phone numbers from LDAP to Avaya Spaces. Work phone numbers imported from LDAP will be removed from Avaya Spaces.

    • None: To remove and work phone numbers imported from LDAP from Avaya Spaces.

  3. Click Save.

    Avaya Aura® Device Services will update LDAP phone numbers in the Avaya Spaces database according to the new synchronization settings after manual or automatic synchronization between Avaya Aura® Device Services and Avaya Spaces.

  4. Optional In the User Synchronization Update Instructions area, click Force Sync to synchronize phone numbers immediately.
