Setting up contact search for additional base context DNs

About this task

You can use additional base context DNs to specify multiple search locations within the same LDAP directory. Use this procedure to select which of these additional base context DNs Avaya Aura® Device Services uses for the contact search.

Before you begin

Configure additional base context DNs as described in Configuring additional base context DNs.

Procedure

  1. On the Avaya Aura® Device Services web administration portal, navigate to Server Connections > LDAP Configuration > Enterprise Directory.
  2. Select the appropriate LDAP server.
  3. Click View/Edit located next to the Use additional Base Context DN check box.

    Avaya Aura® Device Services displays the list of additional base context DNs configured for the LDAP directory.

  4. For each additional base context DN, do the following:
    • To use the additional context DN for contact search, select the Use for contact search check box for this DN.

    • To ignore the additional context DN for contact search, clear the Use for contact search check box for this DN.

  5. Click Save.
  6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 for other LDAP directories that you use for contact search.
  7. In the Server Address and Credentials section, click Save.
