Use this procedure to disable PhoneBackup feature or whitelist Custom IP range.

Procedure

  1. Open a terminal, navigate to the directory containing the utility script, and run the following command:

    cdto misc

  2. To execute the utility script with the install flag, run the following command

    sudo ./fixPhoneBackupDos.sh --install

  3. When prompted, choose one of the following options:

    • Block PhoneBackup Feature: Disables the PhoneBackup feature completely.

    • Keep PhoneBackup feature by whitelisting an IP from where the PhoneBackup requests emanate: You are prompted to enter one or more IP subnets (in CIDR notation). Only traffic from these IPs are allowed; All other sources are blocked.
