Changing the password for single-user mode

About this task

You can change the password for single-user mode from the Avaya Aura® Device Services CLI. You do not need to log in to single-user mode to change the single-user mode password.

Avaya Aura® Device Services does not enforce any complexity rules for single-user mode passwords, therefore you can use any password that you want.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Avaya Aura® Device Services CLI as an administrator using an SSH connection.
  2. Run the following command:

    sudo /opt/Avaya/bin/manageOSPassword.sh -p

  3. Follow the system prompts to change the single-user mode password.
