Auto Configuration Failure: 500 Internal Server Error

About this task

In LDAP attribute mapping, SMGRLoginName is by default mapped to the userprincipalName. If the SMGRLoginName mapped attribute is null for a given user in the LDAP and the auto configuration api is hit to fetch the user configuration, it results in failure.

Procedure

  1. On the Avaya Aura® Device Services web administration portal, navigate to Server Connections > LDAP Configuration > Enterprise LDAP Server Configuration > Modify Attribute Mappings.
  2. For the SMGRLoginName field under Enterprise Directory Mappings > Modify LDAP Attribute Mappings if the default value under the Custom Field Name column is userprincipalName:
    1. Go to LDAP server and check the user configuration and the mapped attribute under userprincipalName.
    2. If the attribute is blank, modify the mapping in the Avaya Aura® Device Services web administration portal.
