Prerequisites for installing the system layer on Google Cloud Platform

In addition to the prerequisites for the software-only system layer installation that are common for all deployment types, Google Cloud Platform has the following specific prerequisites:

  • On all Avaya Aura® Device Services nodes in your deployment, add information about each Avaya Aura® Device Services node to the /etc/hosts file in the following format:

    <IP_Address> <Corresponding_FQDN> <hostname>

    For example:

    195.51.100.5 aads1.mycompany.com aads1
195.51.100.6 aads2.mycompany.com aads2

  • Enable root access to RHEL. For more information, see Enabling root access.

  • Create a non-root user on RHEL. For more information, see Creating an administrative user.
