In System Manager, you can create data centers that represent the actual physical data center topology of the Session Manager network. The data center topology is used by the Cassandra database cluster to make routing decisions when reading or writing data to the database. When a Session Manager instance within a particular data center sends a request to the Cassandra cluster, Cassandra performs the request using the Cassandra cluster nodes within that data center whenever possible.
Note:
If you deploy Avaya Aura® Device Services in an environment without Avaya Aura®, you cannot configure the data center topology because Avaya Aura® Device Services does not use System Manager.
