Network latency requirements

Minimize the network latency between Avaya Aura® Device Services and the other elements it interacts with.

Latency between Avaya Aura® Device Services and Session Manager

In addition to its own Cassandra databases, Avaya Aura® Device Services also uses Cassandra databases on Session Manager. Therefore, the network latency between Avaya Aura® Device Services and Session Manager must always be less than 5 milliseconds. To achieve this, co-locate the Avaya Aura® Device Services and paired Session Manager in the same building, if possible.

This requirement is not applicable for deployments without Avaya Aura®.

Latency between Avaya Aura® Device Services and LDAP

The network latency between Avaya Aura® Device Services and the LDAP server must always be less than 75 milliseconds. Higher latency values can result in loss of service. The ideal network latency is less than 5 milliseconds.
