SSO for Dynamics 365

Last Updated : Nov 21, 2023 |

Single sign-on (SSO) is an authentication scheme that allows users to log in with a single ID to several independent software applications. With SSO, agents can log in to Avaya Workspaces for CRM using the same username and password that they use for Dynamics 365. You must configure several URLs in Dynamics 365 and add users to the Dynamics 365 Active Directory to enable Avaya Workspaces for CRM to support SSO. In addition, you must create a metadata file in Dynamics 365 and upload it to Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud. Ensure that the domain name that you are using is not blocked by Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud and ensure that it converts to lowercase for processing by Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud.

To ensure privacy between the identity provider and Salesforce, SSO uses the Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) v2 protocol. SAML is an open standard for exchanging authentication and authorization data between parties. You must add the Azure Active Directory SAML Toolkit to your Dynamics 365 Active Directory.
