Adding Avaya Cloud Office to Element Inventory

About this task

Add the Avaya Cloud Office™ application to Element Inventory to enable the Avaya Cloud Office™ service in Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect).

When adding the Avaya Cloud Office™ element, you can select an application to align the Presence state of contacts displayed on the Corporate Contacts widget. For example, if you select Avaya Cloud Office™, Avaya Workspaces displays the Avaya Cloud Office™ Presence states on the widget. Avaya Cloud Office™ is the default option.

You can also enable Avaya Cloud Office™ extension calling for Avaya Workspaces agents and supervisors.

Before you begin

Ensure that Avaya Support enables Avaya Cloud Office™ for your account.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Application Center Administration as an account administrator.
  2. In the navigation tree, click Element Inventory.
  3. On the Elements page, click New and select Avaya Cloud Office.
  4. On the ACO Element page, in the Name field, type the Avaya Cloud Office™ application name.
  5. Optional In the Description field, type the Avaya Cloud Office™ application description.
  6. In the Environment list, select Production.
  7. Optional To disable the chat functionality, clear Chat Enabled.

    If the chat is disabled, agents and supervisors cannot communicate in one-to-one and group chats or participate in group conversations. Avaya Workspaces does not display the Chats tab on the Corporate Contacts widget.

  8. Optional To enable extension calling, select Extension Calling Enabled.

    If enabled, Avaya Workspaces agents and supervisors use Avaya Cloud Office™ extensions as default numbers when calling and transferring calls to Avaya Cloud Office™ contacts.

  9. Optional In the Presence Application Type list, select the application to align the Presence state of Avaya Cloud Office™ contacts.

  10. Click Save.
