Creating a new SIP agent in Avaya Aura System Manager

About this task

You must create new Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) agents for migration tasks. Perform the following steps to provision a new SIP agent.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Avaya Aura® System Manager.
  2. Navigate to Users > User Management > Manage Users.
  3. Click New.
  4. On the Identify tab, enter all the mandatory and required details.
  5. To set Communication Profile Password, do the following:
    1. Click the Communication Profile tab.
    2. Click Communication Profile Password.
    3. In the Comm-Profile Password field, enter a password for the communication profile.
    4. In the Re-enter Comm-Profile Password field, re-enter the password.
    5. Click OK.
  6. To add a Communication Address, do the following:
    1. Click New.

      The Communication Address Add/Edit window opens.

    2. In the Type field, select Avaya SIP from the drop-down list.
    3. In the Fully Qualified Address field, enter the handle and select the address from the drop-down list.
    4. Click OK.
  7. Enable the Session Manager Profile switch and do the following:
    1. In the Primary Session Manager field, select the SIPCC station types supported by Avaya Experience Platform™ On-Prem.
    2. In the Max. Simultaneous Devices field, select 1.
    3. Clear the Block New Registration When Maximum Registrations Active? check box.
    4. Enter the details for all the required fields.
    5. Click Commit.
