You can use the configuration utility to perform an interactive installation of the Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway seed node.
Before you begin
Ensure that you have the System Manager enrollment password.
Note:
To get System Manager enrollment password, contact the System Manager administrator.
Ensure that a valid Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) license is hosted on the Avaya Aura® System Manager from where Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway is deployed.
Ensure that the Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway cluster Virtual IP (VIP) and Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) Domain Name System (DNS) entry is configured.
Note:
Avaya Cloud Delivery is responsible for downloading and deploying Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway as part of the Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) service activation. Customers cannot download Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway from Avaya PLDS.
Procedure
Open the Linux shell using the administrator account credentials.
To start the Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway installation, run the following command:
app install
You can view the installation screen.
Note:
Do not resize the screen or the SSH console.
On prompt, do one of the following:
To continue with the installation, type y and press Enter.
To cancel the installation, type n and press Enter.
On the Cluster Configuration screen, set the Initial cluster node to y (yes).
Select Return to Main Menu.
Click Enter.
On the Initial Installation Configuration screen, select Front-end-host, System Manager and Certificate Configuration.
Click Enter.
On the Front-end-host, System Manager and Certificate Configuration screen, set the following values:
In the Front-end FQDN field, for a cluster deployment that uses the internal load balancer, you must configure Front-end IP or FQDN as the FQDN corresponding to the VIP address of the internal load balancer. The default value shows the Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway FQDN provided during OVA deployment in network configurations.
In the System Manager FQDN field, type the FQDN of Avaya Aura® System Manager which signs the certificates for Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway services.
In the System Manager HTTPS Port field, set the value to 443.
In the System Manager Enrollment Password field, type the System Manager enrollment password.
In the Use System Manager for Certificates field, ensure that the value is set to y. If the value is set to n, you are redirected to a location with options to upload the certificates manually.
In the Keystore password field, set a password.
Select Return to Main Menu.
Click Enter.
On the Configuration Summary screen, select Accept and Continue.
Click Enter.
On the Results of Configuration Checks screen, select Continue.
Click Enter.
On the End User License Agreement screen, select Accept.
Click Enter.
You can view the progress of tasks on the Running Installation Script screen. The system installs the required RPMs, downloads the certificates from System Manager, creates database schema, and performs the required initial configuration.
You can view the Results of Installation Script screen after a successful installation.
On the Running Installation Script screen, select Continue.
Click Enter.
On the Avaya Hybrid Cloud GatewayConfiguration Utility for Seed Node, select Virtual IP Configuration.
Click Enter.
Set the value for Enable Virtual IP as n.
Click Enter.
Set the value for Enable or disable Virtual IP handling on this node as yes.
Click Enter.
Type the Virtual IP address.
Set a password for Virtual IP authentication password.
Click Apply.
The VIP configuration is complete.
Click Continue.
The system prompts to restart Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway.
Click Yes.
On the Results of "svc CSA restart" command screen, click Continue.
The Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway seed node installation is complete.
