Assigning users to the Okta application and downloading the IdP metadata

About this task

To use Okta Active Directory (AD) with Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect), assign users to the Okta application that you created earlier and download the identity provider (IdP) metadata.

Procedure

  1. Log in to the Okta portal with your account credentials.
  2. In the navigation tree, click Applications > Applications.
  3. In the right pane, click the Okta application that you created earlier.
  4. Click Assignments.
  5. From the Assign list, click Assign to People.
  6. Next to a username, click Assign.
  7. Check the user details.
  8. Click Save and Go Back.

    You can assign the application to additional users by repeating steps 6 to 8.

  9. Click Done.
  10. Click Sign On.
  11. In the SAML Signing Certificates section, go to any certificate.
  12. Click Actions > View IdP metadata.
  13. Download and save the XML file.
