With the chat functionality, you can send and receive chat messages from the Corporate Contacts widget to Avaya Cloud Office™ contacts and groups.
If the account administrator enables the chat functionality, you can perform the following actions:
Search for chats.
Send messages in one-to-one and group chats from the Chats tab.
You can have a one-to-one chat with an available Avaya Cloud Office™ contact. You can send group chat messages only to the chat groups that contacted you.
Send messages in group conversations from the Groups tab.
You can send messages in a conversation only to the members of the group. You cannot manage the users in a group, the Avaya Cloud Office™ administrator creates and manages groups.
You can send plain text messages from the Chats and Groups tabs, format the text as bold, italics, underscore, strikethrough, and add links. You can receive plain text, rich text content, and emojis. You cannot edit and delete messages. However, you can see if an Avaya Cloud Office™ contact edited a message.
