Configuring the Avaya System Manager element

About this task

To enable System Manager integration for your Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) account, configure the details of System Manager that you have on-premise in Application Center Administration. You must configure a maximum of one System Manager.

Caution:

If you update the System Manager hostname or IP address after the initial configuration, ensure that the updated details are correct. Else, the incorrect configuration results in failure during call processing.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that an account with the Hybrid Voice feature enabled is available.

  • Ensure that the following System Manager details are available:

    • The hostname or IP address of the primary System Manager. Also, the hostname or IP address of the secondary System Manager, if available in the deployment.

    • The username and password of the user created for Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway on System Manager.

    • The enrollment password.

  • Ensure to log in to Application Center Administration as an account administrator.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation tree, click Element Inventory.
  2. On the Elements page, click New > Voice > Avaya System Manager.
  3. In the Name field, type a name for the System Manager element.
  4. In the Description field, type a description for the System Manager element.
  5. In the Primary Avaya System Manager section, type the FQDN of the primary System Manager element in the Host Name or IP Address field.
  6. In the Username field, type the username of the user created for Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway on System Manager.

    To enable synchronization, the user on System Manager must have the System Administrator permission. For more information about adding the permission, see Adding a user on System Manager with required roles to enable synchronization.

  7. In the Password field, type the password of the user created for Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway on System Manager.
  8. In the Enrollment Password field, type the enrollment password.
  9. Optional In the Secondary Avaya System Manager section, type the hostname or IP address of the secondary System Manager element in the Host Name or IP Address field.
  10. From the Active System Manager to use list, click Primary.
  11. Click Save.
