Reason code management

Last Updated : Jan 11, 2024 |

Avaya Experience Platform™ (On-Prem + Connect) synchronizes the Not-ready reason code data from the Communication Manager Reason Code Names page. RONA and ROOF reason code fields data are synchronized from the Feature-Related System Parameters page.

For RONA and ROOF, you cannot configure 0, and on Application Center Administration, you cannot select 0. If the administrator configures 0 on Communication Manager, the status of RONA and ROOF during synchronization of the system parameter feature displays as failed.

To overcome this failure while synchronizing the reason codes, if the range configured under Hybrid Voice > Voice Plan > System Ranges > Not Ready (Aux Work) Reason Code Ranges is 1:99:

  • The reason codes with duplicate names with the highest range are marked as failed and discarded.

  • Work on Digital configured on Communication Manager is selected, or the highest number in the range is selected for Work on Digital.

  • If ROOF or RONA is not set on the Feature-Related System Parameters page, the Reason Code Names page searches for Network Disc and RONA.

  • If both the previous conditions are false, the second last number is used for Network Disc, and the third last number is used for RONA.
