Creating an SNMP target profile

About this task

You must create an SNMP target profile so that Avaya Aura® System Manager can receive Avaya Hybrid Cloud Gateway alarms.

Before you begin

  • Ensure to log in to Avaya Aura® System Manager.

  • Ensure to create an SNMPv3 user profile.

Procedure

  1. In Avaya Aura® System Manager, click Services > Inventory > Manage Serviceability Agents > SNMP Target Profiles.
  2. Click New.
  3. On the View Target Profile page, in the User Details section, do the following:
    1. In the Name field, type the Avaya Aura® System Manager name.
    2. In the Description field, type the description of the target profile.
    3. In the IP Address field, type the IP address of the Avaya Aura® System Manager or Secure Access Link (SAL) gateway on which the alarm is monitored.
    4. In the Port field, type 10162 as the port number for Avaya Aura® System Manager and 162 as the port number for SAL gateway.
    5. In the Notification Type field, click Trap.
    6. In the Protocol field, click V3 as the protocol.
    7. Click Done.
