Synchronizing the Avaya Experience Platform On-Prem (formerly Avaya Aura Call Center Elite) entities

About this task

You can synchronize the Avaya Experience Platform™ On-Prem entities, such as Extensions, Agents, Reason Codes, and System parameter features from the Avaya Aura® systems that are on-premise to Application Center Administration on the cloud.

Before you begin

  • Ensure that you log in to Application Center Administration as an account administrator.

  • Ensure that the Avaya system administrator includes your account in the Synchronization for Communication Manager feature toggle for Communication Manager to perform synchronization.

    Note:

    Contact the Avaya system administrator to include your account in the feature toggle.

Procedure

  1. In the navigation tree, click Element Inventory.
  2. On the Elements page, click the Three Dots icon next to the Communication Manager element to synchronize and select Synchronization.
  3. Click Synchronization.

    Application Center Administration displays the Communication Manager - Synchronize Entities page.

  4. Do one of the following:
    • To synchronize all entities, select the Select All Entities check box.

    • To synchronize the extensions, agents, not-ready reason codes, or system parameter features entities, select the check box next to each entity name.

  5. In the Job Name field, enter the name of the job.
  6. Click Start Synchronization.

    The synchronization process begins.

  7. During the synchronization process, click Refresh icon to frequently refresh the table.
  8. To filter the synchronized jobs based on Job Name or Synchronization Type, do the following:
    1. Click Filter icon on the right corner of the Synchronization page.
    2. Do one of the following:
      • From the Job Name drop down list, select the job name.

      • From the Synchronization Type drop down list, select the type of synchronization.

  9. To check the detailed status of a specific synchronization job, click Detail Logs icon to the right corner of the synchronization job.
  10. To check the detailed status of an entity, click the entity name.

    You can view the Synchronization details for - <Entity name> page.

  11. To filter the entity details by status, select one of the following options:
    • All: To view all entities.

    • Created: To view the newly created entity.

    • Updated: To view the updated entity.

    • Deleted: To view the deleted entity.

    • In Progress: To view the entity synchronization which is in progress.

    • Needs action: To view the entity that needs action.

    • Failed: To view the entity that failed.

  12. To further filter the results, type in the Number or Name field and click Enter.
