SIP TLS is mandatory for all Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud deployments.

To find out the A records and their priorities within the SIP SRV, use the following command: 
“nslookup -type=SRV _sips._tcp.sbc-asia.mpaas.avayacloud.com”
where you must replace sbc-asia.mpaas.avayacloud.com with any of the SRV addresses.

The output displays the individual A records within the SRV. You can resolve them to their IPs to unblock the firewall.

Avaya SIP Trunk

Avaya SIP trunking is available in all the regions that support Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud. Each region has different configuration URIs. The Avaya Cloud Customer Success team provides the region where you must host the calls based on your location.

Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud SIP cloud service:

  • Enables secure communications through TLS. For security reasons, Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud allows connections only from clients with a public authority signed identity certificate.

  • Uses Entrust to sign the identity certificate. You can get the certification chain information with the Avaya Aura® Session Border Controller (SBC) configuration documentation.

  • Sends OPTIONS ping on every entry in the ASBCE-provided SRV record to find the available and live SIP IP addresses.
