Avaya Workspaces enables users with voice capability to call emergency services without dialing additional digits, such as call prefixes. If an emergency call disconnects, the emergency service provider can call back the user that initiates the call. Users can select an emergency location when logging in to Avaya Workspaces.
An account administrator configures emergency locations in Application Center Administration. If a user calls emergency services, Avaya Workspaces passes the selected emergency location to the emergency service provider. The emergency service provider uses the emergency location to locate the caller and send help. For example, the emergency service provider can send an ambulance to the received emergency location. An account administrator can also specify one or multiple email addresses of the people in the organization that receive notifications about the initiated emergency calls.
