Button
Purpose
Save Draft
Saves a self-service flow as a draft copy. One draft copy of a self-service flow is available at a time.
Save Version
Saves a self-service flow as a new version that you can publish to customers. When you save a version, Automation validates the workflow. For successful validation, you must configure messages and mappings, and connect all the tasks on the canvas with appropriate target tasks.
If the validation is successful, Automation creates a new version. You can create multiple versions for a self-service flow. To facilitate differentiation of versions, add a description of a newly created version.
Close
Closes the Flow creator tab and returns you to the Self-service Flows page.
Palette
The palette is the section of the page beside the navigation pane. The palette lists tasks that you can drag and drop onto the canvas as part of a self-service flow.
Canvas
The canvas is the section of the page where you can see the self-service flow as you build it. You can drag tasks from the palette onto the canvas to create a self-service flow. When dragging tasks across the canvas, guidelines appear to aid alignment. When you drag a task onto the canvas, it automatically snaps to the closest grid location.
Properties pane
Automation displays the Properties pane when you click a task on the canvas. In the properties pane, you can configure task properties, such as a name, question types, messages, exit paths, and mappings.
Canvas Overview area
The canvas overview area is the section at the bottom of the page where you can see the scaled copy of the canvas. The blue frame shows what part of the canvas is visible on the page.
