Adding a visualization in a dossier

About this task

The visualization capabilities in Analytics for Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud offer many options for visualizing contact center data in dossiers.

You can add a visual representation of data in a dossier, such as a grid, KPI, bar chart, line chart, pie chart, or map. Other data visualizations include Waterfall, Heat Map, Bubble Chart, Histogram, Box Plot, Network, Sankey Diagram, and Time Series.

You can also create a customized view for visualizing data, such as a Bubble Chart, Circle Packing, Collapsible Tree, Stream Graph, Word Cloud, Zoomable Sunburst, Google Timeline, or Sequences Sunburst.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Analytics for Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud.
  2. Click Create  > New Dossier.

    The new dossier displays a single blank visualization.

    You can see the CONTENTS, DATASETS, EDITOR, and Visualization panels.

  3. In the DATASETS panel, select one of the following options to add data to the dossier:
    • New Data: To import data from your computer or external database, depending on the user role.

    • Existing data: To select a dataset from one of the connected databases.

    • Existing Objects: To create a new dataset using the attributes and metrics available on one of the connected environments.

    The selected data is added to your dossier as a dataset.

  4. Optional If you select Existing data and the dataset requires inputs prompts, do the following:
    1. In the input prompts, specify the values.
    2. Click Run Dossier.

      Analytics for Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud displays the data based on the values specified in the input prompts.

  5. In the Visualization panel, click the three vertical dots next to Visualization 1 and click Change Visualization.

    The default visualization is Grid.

  6. In the Change Visualization window, select one of the following visualization types:
    • Grid

    • KPI

    • Bar

    • Line

    • Pie

    • Map

    • More (For other data visualizations)

    • Custom (For custom visualizations)

    Analytics for Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud displays the data in the selected visualization type.

  7. Optional To add another visualization panel, click the Visualization icon Visualization icon.

    A new visualization panel opens beside the current visualization panel.

  8. Add data to your visualizations by doing one of the following:
    • Double-click the attributes or metrics.

    • Drag and drop the attributes or metrics into the visualization container.

  9. Click Save icon to save your changes in the dossier.
