Setting thresholds in a dossier using the quick threshold editor

About this task

Use thresholds in dossiers to draw immediate attention to metric data. For example, you can set thresholds to highlight rows in red for display values that are greater than 10.

  • You can add thresholds only in editable mode.

  • You can set thresholds only in the grid or tabular view.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Analytics for Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud.
  2. On the Home page, in the navigation pane, click Shared Reports.
  3. In the content pane, click Standard Historical Reports.
  4. Click Dossier.
  5. From the available dossiers, click the dossier you want to run.
  6. On the input prompts, specify the values.
  7. Click Run Dossier.

    Analytics for Avaya Experience Platform™ Public Cloud displays the dossier summary page based on the values specified in the input prompts.

  8. Depending on the duration for which you want to view the dossier, click Interval, Daily, or Monthly.

    By default, the dossiers display the Interval page.

  9. In the editable mode, click the Edit icon.
  10. Click the grid or tabular view pane.
  11. Right-click the measure to which you want to set the threshold and click Thresholds.
  12. In the Thresholds pane, do one of the following:
    1. To display your data using different colors based on the value of the metric, select the Color-based option. From the Color-based list, select a set of colors to apply to the values, such as Green or Red.
    2. To replace your data with images based on the value of the metric, select Image-based. From the Images list, select a set of images to replace the values, such as Arrows or Rounded Push Pin.
  13. Optional To reverse the order of colors or images, click the Reverse icon.
  14. In the Based on field, do the following:
    1. To change the metric to base the threshold, click the required metric.
    2. To create a threshold based on the value of the metric, select Value.

      For example, you can display metric values greater than 6 thousand in blue.

    3. To create a threshold based on the bottom x metric values, select Lowest.

      For example, you can display the bottom 5 agents' values in red.

    4. To create a threshold based on the top x percent of metric values, select Highest %.

      For example, you can display the top 20% of metric values in yellow.

    5. To create a threshold based on the bottom x percent of metric values, select Lowest %.

      For example, you can display the bottom 20% of metric values in blue.

  15. In the Break By field, do one of the following:
    1. To select the attribute level at which to restart counting rank or percent values for the metric, select the name of the attribute.

      This option is available only for thresholds based on rank or percent values.

    2. To continue counting rank or percent values without restarting, click None.
  16. Click Apply and click OK.
