The avaya account is the default AE Services server administrator account. When you install the Avaya Services package, the installation application sets up the cust account in the local LDAP store (User Management database) and in the local Linux password store by default.

The Linux cust account provides remote access using a secure shell (ssh) client to the Linux shell. The Linux cust account has system administration and security administration rights.

The User Management Service cust account provides access to the User Management database. You must install the AE Services license to access the AE Services management console with the cust account added to the User Management database.
