Creating a new User Management administrator account

About this task

To comply with your company security requirement, create new User Management administrator accounts and delete the default avaya account. Use this procedure if you do not have the Avaya Services package installed.

The user password must contain a minimum of 8 characters including at least 1 uppercase character, 1 lowercase character, 1 alphanumeric character, and 1 special character. You cannot use the following characters: $ (dollar sign), ’ (apostrophe), " (quotation mark), \ (backslash), the space character, and any ASCII control character.

Procedure

  1. From your browser, log in to the AE Services management console as the avaya user.
  2. On the AE Services management console, go to User Management > User Admin > Add User.
  3. On the Add User page, in User Id, type a user ID.

    For example, aesuseradmin.

  4. In Common Name, type the name the user prefers to use.

    For example, Pat Adams.

  5. In Surname, type the user last name.

    For example, Adams.

  6. In User Password, type a user password.
  7. In Avaya Role, select userservice.useradmin.
  8. Click Apply.

Next Steps

Delete the default avaya user from the User Management database.
