Back up the AE Services server data to restore the configuration on a new AE Services server. The AE Services data includes configuration files, AE Services user database, security certificates, and the license file.
The average size of AE Services backup file is 10 MB, but it can increase up to 1 GB depending on the size of Historical Metric Data Collector (HDMC). If the size of a backup file is over 10 MB, use the command line interface to restore the server data.
The name of the generated backup file contains the host name, AE Services version, and creation date. For example:
If you perform a backup in non-secure mode, you can restore the AE Services configuration only in non-secure mode. If you perform a backup in secure mode, you can restore it only in secure mode.
