Browser security alerts

Last Updated : Dec 29, 2021 |

When you access the AE Services management console in your browser, you can see several types of security alerts. The types of security alerts you receive depend on whether you use the default AE Services server certificate CA or certificates issued by a trusted in-house or third-party CA.

If you use the default server certificate, your browser displays two alerts. The first alert indicates that the certificate was issued by an invalid CA. The second alert indicates that the CN is invalid because the server name in the URL does not match the Common Name (CN) in the certificate. If you add the Avaya CA to the trust store of your browser, you will get the CN error until you replace the default server certificate with your own certificate.

If you use your own certificates, your browser and the AE Services server must use the same trusted CA certificate. If your browser does not refer to the same trusted CA certificate as the AE Services server, you will get a security alert when accessing AE Services. To eliminate this security alert, you must import the trusted certificate to AE Services and the trust store of your browser.

Your browser can have an advanced security feature enabled by default. To access the AE Services management console, you can disable this feature or add the AE Services management console URL to the trusted site list. For more information about advanced security features, see your browser documentation.
