Security database authorization for DMCC applications

Last Updated : Oct 06, 2021 |

You can set the following DMCC applications to use the security database for authorization.

DMCC Device Control services

For the DMCC API, enable the security database if your applications use the security database authorization to perform the following operations:

  • Get a list of the devices that are associated with a session.

  • Transfer a group of devices from one session to another.

  • Share the control of a group of devices among multiple sessions.

DMCC session services

Avaya recommends that you enable the security database for DMCC session services for security purposes.

DMCC applications developed before AE Services Release 4.1

If you administer AE Services for DMCC applications that were developed before Avaya Aura® Application Enablement Services Release 4.1, keep the security database disabled.

DMCC applications can use enterprise authorization as an alternative to security database authorization.
