Adding a worktop manually

About this task

Add a new worktop to the security database manually. With this method, you can add one worktop at a time.

Procedure

  1. On the AE Services management console, go to Security > Security Database > Worktops.
  2. In Add Worktop, type the worktop name.
  3. Click Add Worktop.
  4. In Primary Device ID, type the phone extension configured on the Configuration Server.

    You can type a numeric value.

  5. In Secondary Device Group, select the secondary device group.
  6. Optional In Host Name, type the hostname of the worktop.
  7. Optional In IP Address, type the IP address of the worktop.
  8. Click Apply Changes.
  9. Click Apply.

    Your browser displays the Worktops page. The worktop you add appears in the Worktop Name column.
