Sets the maximum number of Telephony Services Driver Interface (TSDI) buffers that can be queued for and allocated to the Tlink.
Typically, one TSDI buffer is queued for the Tlink for each TSAPI application request. When the limit specified by the Max Flow Allowed setting is reached, the TSAPI service activates flow control for the Tlink. Any additional requests for a Tlink are rejected with the following ACS error:
TSERVER DRIVER CONGESTION
To minimize the errors due to flow control, ensure that the switch connection for the Tlink has the sufficient bandwidth to handle the number of requests from your TSAPI and other CTI applications. Generally, each CLAN board administered for the switch connection can handle 200 messages per second. For the solutions with AE Services 6.2 or later, the switch connection that uses Processor Ethernet can handle up to 2000 messages per second. Prior to release 6.2, the switch connection can handle up to 1000 messages per second.
Flow control error messages might indicate an application problem or might be the result of a large number of application requests or a temporary network issue. If these error messages occur only intermittently, you can set the default flow control level to a bigger value. |
