SNMP devices have object identifiers (OID) that define each object for SNMP agents and managers. An OID uniquely identifies managed devices and their statuses. OIDs point to network monitoring objects stored in a database called the Management Information Base (MIB). MIB is a collection of information used for configuring network devices. With the MIBs, you can remotely monitor, configure and control networks. You can see available AE Services MIBs in the Product Licensing and Delivery System (PLDS).
