Last Updated : May 07, 2024 |

About this task

Determine whether an agent must dial the configured prefix for making calls outside of the contact center. You can configure a dialed string prefix on the Dial Plan Analysis page of the System tab. For example, you can use 9 as a prefix for making external calls.

Procedure

  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to Administration > Parameters > Global Configurations.
  2. On the Global Configurations page, click External Prefix Dialing.

Configuration Server displays the Add New Global Config pane on the right.

  3. In Value, select one of the following:
    • Optional: Agents can make external calls without dialing the configured prefix.

    • Required: Agents must dial the prefix for making external calls.

  4. At the top-right corner of the page, click Save.

The Configuration Server displays the saved configuration on the Global Configurations page.
