Adding trunk groups

About this task

Add trunk groups to send the call data to Call Management System for analyzing and generating call reports. You can create a maximum of 2,000 trunk groups. The contact center automatically generates trunk groups based on the specified number of channels.

Procedure

  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to Administration > Parameters > Trunk Groups.
  2. At the top-right corner of the Trunk Groups page, click the Add icon.

    Configuration Server displays the trunk group configuration fields.

  3. On the Add Trunk Group page, in the Name field, type the trunk group name.

    You can type a maximum of 35 Unicode characters.

  4. In the Number field, type the trunk group number.

    You can type a value from 1 to 2,000. Each trunk group number must be unique.

  5. In the Range field, type the number of SIP channels for the trunk group.

    You can type a value from 1 to 200,000.

  6. In the Starting Value field, type the SIP channel start number.

    You can type a value from 1 to 700,000. For example, if you type 500 for the starting value and 100 for the SIP channel range, the contact center allocates numbers from 500 to 599 to the trunk group channels.

    You must allocate unique numbers to SIP channels for each trunk group.

  7. Optional To enable split translation messages for the trunk group, select the Split Translation check box.
  8. At the top-right corner of the screen, click Commit.

    Configuration Server saves the trunk group configuration and redirects you to the Trunk Groups page.
