Adding voicemail servers

Last Updated : Sep 28, 2022 |

About this task

Add a voicemail server and configure the related settings. You can later specify the configured voicemail server for coverage paths and use it for vector configuration.

Procedure

  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to Administration > System > Voice Mail Servers.
  2. At the top-right corner of the Voice Mail Servers screen, click the Add icon.
  3. On the Add Voice Mail Server screen, in Name, type the voicemail server name.

You can type a maximum of 35 Unicode characters.

  4. In Permission Sets (COR), select the permission set appropriate for your voicemail server.

A permission set determines the types of calls that the caller can make from the voicemail number. For example, you can restrict calls from the voicemail number to calls within your organization only.

You can configure the required permission set on the Permissions Sets screen.

  5. In Voice Mail Number, type a number that the Routing Core Server uses for redirecting calls to the voicemail server.

You can type a maximum of 17 digits.

  6. Optional In Routing Digits, type digits to prepend to the voicemail number.

The Routing Core Server uses the digits to route calls to the voicemail server. You can type a maximum of 4 characters, including digits, an asterisk (*), or a pound sign (#). You can type an asterisk or a pound sign only as the first character.

  7. At the top-right corner of the screen, click Commit.

The Configuration Server saves the voicemail server configuration and redirects you to the Voice Mail Servers screen.
