Adding a SET vector step to manage music-on-hold

About this task

Add a set vector step to manage the music-on-hold source that the contact center plays to a caller. If the contact center cannot play the specified audio source or the music-on-hold source is not present, Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity plays the audio file associated with the current skill or agent profile.

Procedure

  1. On the Configuration Server web portal, go to Administration > Contact Center > Vectors.
  2. At the top-right corner of the Vectors screen, click the Add icon.

    The Configuration Server displays the vector configuration fields.

  3. At the top half of the screen, configure the required fields.
  4. At the bottom half of the screen, in the drop-down box on the left of the row, select set.
  5. To configure a music source to announcements, vectors, or VDN, do the following:
    1. In the next drop-down box, select Music on Hold.
    2. Click the next field and on the Assign pane, select one of the following:
      • Announcement and the required announcement to play to the caller on hold.

      • VDN-Variable and a VDN variable that defines the required audio source.

      • Vector-Variable and a vector variable that defines the required audio source.

      • Custom-Value and then digits in the next drop-down box.

  6. Configure the required vector steps.
  7. At the top-right corner of the page, click Commit.

    The Configuration Server saves the vector configuration and redirects you to the Vectors screen.
