The contact center software that provides the ACD functionality runs within the Routing Core Server. Each server has a set of unique IP addresses and a single shared memory segment for Docker containers within the server.

Copies shared memory updates into a shared memory segment of a standby server over a network socket. |
ACD Core |
Manages call flows, call queues, agent selection not based on Enterprise Behavioral Pairing, contact and call information. |
Telephony Feature Server (TFS) |
Manages Avaya Advanced SIP Telephony (AST) procedures. Provides all telephony features, such as call transferring, conferencing, and Redirection on No Answer. Manages button presses and LED indication. |
Media Server |
Provides media functionality. |
Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity Session Manager |
Handles all SIP messages that go through the TFS. Avaya Contact Center – Extended Capacity Session Manager also handles endpoint registration and authentication. |
Internal Application Enablement Services |
Provides CTI capabilities. |
