Creating a common administration account

Last Updated : Oct 31, 2023 |

About this task

When managing multiple IP Office systems, it is useful to create a common username and password on all the IP Office systems. You can do that using the Server Edition Service User Management tool. This tool creates a common service user called SCN_Admin.

  • This process requires you to have a service user username and password for security settings access to each of the IP Office systems.

Procedure

  1. Select Tools > Server Edition Service User Management.
  2. Select the IP Office systems for which you want to create a common configuration account.
  3. Click OK.
  4. IP Office Web Manager requests a username and password for security configuration access to each IP Office system.
    • To use the same values for all the IP Office systems, select Use above credentials for all remaining, selected IPOs.

  5. Click OK.
  6. IP Office Web Manager lists the IP Office systems and whether each system already has an SCN_Admin account.
  7. Click Create Service User.
  8. Enter the common password and click OK.
  9. Click Close.
