Synchronizing Server Edition passwords in Web Manager

Last Updated : Nov 06, 2023 |

From IP Office Web Manager, you can open the IP Office Server Edition solution in IP Office Manager using the Applications > IP Office Manager command. To do that, all the IP Office systems in the solution must have a service user with common credentials.

If any IP Office system does not have a service user with the required common credentials, opening IP Office Manager fails.

  • This process synchronizes the security service users and their service user passwords on all systems.

  • This process affects service users and their passwords. It does not affect any other security settings, including the settings of rights groups.

Before you begin

You must know the user ID and password of the service user that is common to all systems in the solution.

Procedure

  1. For the IP Office system with reset security settings:
    1. Open IP Office Web Manager using the address https://<ip_address>:7070/WebManagement/WebManagement.html where <ip_address> is the address of the individual IP Office.
    2. Log on as Administrator.
    3. Select Security > Service Users.
    4. Change the settings of the service user used for common log in to match the settings configured on the other IP Office systems in the solution. If necessary, create a new user.
    5. Log out of this Web Manager session.
  2. For the whole IP Office Server Edition solution:
    1. Open IP Office Web Manager using the address https://<ip_address>/index.html where <ip_address> is the address of the primary IP Office.
    2. Log in as the common service user.
    3. Select Security > Service Users.
    4. Click Synchronize Service User and System Password.
