Changing user forwarding status

Last Updated : Mar 19, 2019 |

About this task

You can view and change the forwarding status of a user. You can divert incoming calls to an internal or external telephone number. You can enter the destination telephone number and select whether all calls are redirected or only external calls.

There are four types of fowarding:

  • Follow Me

  • Fowarding unconditional

  • Forward on busy

  • Forward on no answer

For call appearance users, Forward on Busy is only used when all their call appearance buttons are busy.

You can enter the destination telephone number and select whether all calls are redirected or only external calls.

Note:

The settings shown in console are those that were current when the user or group was selected. If the settings are then updated by another method, for example from a user’s phone, those changes are not shown until the existing settings are closed and then reopened.

Procedure

  1. Click Users in the Directory panel.
  2. Click Tickmark.
  3. Click Forwarding.

  4. Type the destination telephone numbers in the appropriate fields.

You can also select numbers from your directory list. You must enter an internal extension number as the Follow Me destination. Some forwarding options required telephone system configuration. For example, a user might be barred from making outgoing calls. See your system administration for more information.

  5. Right-click in a number field.
  6. Select the telephone number required from the listing.
  7. Click Add.
