IP500 additional E1R2 channel licenses

The IP500 PRI Universal trunk card is available in 1-port and 2-port variants:

  • Each port supports a single PRI circuit connection.

  • The cards can be switched between supporting E1, E1R2, and T1 line types.

  • Each port supports 8 B-channels (Bearer) without needing licenses. Additional B-channels need licensing. D-channels do not need licensing.

  • Channels licenses are consumed by the channels configured as "in service", in order of the installed IP500 PRI-U cards.

  • Trunks configured for Q.SIG operation use voice networking licenses. See IP500 V2 voice networking licenses.

These licenses enable additional E1R2 B-channels for IP500 PRI-U cards configured for E1R2 operation. Each port can support up to 30 B-channels in this mode.

  • R10+ licenses can be used with R10.0 and higher systems. Other licenses are R12.0 specific licenses.
