The IP Office software can be installed onto a PC server. This is supported for IP Office Server Edition and IP Office Select mode of operation.
The same software is used for all servers. The server's particular role in the IP Office network is selected during the software installation.
Depending on the selected role, each server can run a number of services. For example, the core IP Office service, voicemail, one-X Portal, etc.
Avaya supply a range of pre-built IP Office server PCs. Whilst the software is pre-installed on these PCs, the final selection of its role has not been made.
