Adding network adapters in Microsoft Azure

About this task

For IP Office Release 12.1 and later, when multiple interfaces or VLAN separation is needed, you must add additional network adapters manually in Hyper-V or Microsoft Azure.

Procedure

  1. Stop the virtual machine.
  2. In the Azure portal, click Virtual machines.
  3. Select the virtual machine to stop or de-allocate.
  4. Go to networking settings, VM > Networking.
  5. Click Attach network interface.
  6. Create or select an NIC.
  7. Click Create New and chose the following:
    • Virtual network

    • Subnet

    • IP configuration

  8. Click Create and select the new NIC.
  9. Click Attach and start the virtual machine.
  10. Verify inside the Linux virtual machine and run the command ip link show.
