Adjusting the VMware CPU Cores (vSphere desktop client)

Procedure

  1. Using the vSphere desktop client, select the Inventory view.
  2. Locate the required virtual machine in the inventory navigation tree on the left. If not shown, select View > Show VMs in Inventory.
  3. Click on the virtual machine.
  4. Right-click on the virtual machine and select Edit Settings.
  5. Click the Hardware tab and select CPU.
  6. Select the number of virtual processors for the virtual machine. See IP Office Server Profiling
  7. Click OK.

  • If doing as part of installing a new virtual machine, continue with any further profiling required. When completed, start the virtual machine (see Powering On a VMware virtual machine).
